The trunk of an elephant is a remarkable appendage that is unique to this magnificent animal. It is a fusion of the elephant's nose and upper lip and is used for a variety of functions. The trunk is incredibly flexible and strong, capable of lifting heavy objects such as logs and branches, and even carrying up to 8 liters of water at a time to drink. The trunk is also used for communication, as elephants use it to make various sounds such as trumpeting, rumbling, and grunting to signal to other elephants. In addition, the trunk is highly sensitive and has a keen sense of smell, allowing elephants to locate food and water from miles away. The trunk is also used for social interaction, as elephants greet each other by touching trunks, and for grooming, as they use it to scratch themselves or each other. The elephant's trunk is truly an amazing adaptation that enables these majestic animals to thrive in their environment.

This image is a custom-size print, because of the unusual aspect ratio that I used. This print is available in two sizes only.

Large is 29.4" x 38" (74.7cm x 96.5cm) and there are 25 editions.

Extra Large is 46.4" x 60" (117.9cm x 152.4cm) and there are 10 editions.

Custom framing is recommended for both sizes, as these are not standard frame sizes.

Mana Pools is a breathtakingly beautiful national park located in the northern region of Zimbabwe, along the banks of the Zambezi River. The park covers an area of approximately 2,500 square kilometers and is renowned for its stunning scenery, diverse wildlife, and unique outdoor experiences.

One of the most striking features of Mana Pools is its stunning floodplain ecosystem, which is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, and many others. The park is also home to a number of rare and endangered species, such as the African wild dog and the Nyala antelope.

Another unique feature of Mana Pools is the Zambezi River itself, which runs along the park's northern border. Visitors can also enjoy a range of water-based activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, and river cruises, which provide a unique perspective on the park's wildlife and scenery.

One of the most popular activities in Mana Pools is game viewing, and the park's vast network of roads and trails provides visitors with ample opportunities to spot a variety of animals.

Secure delivery: Because the packages provided by the supplier are so protective, prints are rarely damaged. However, if a package does arrive damaged and the print is also damaged, you can contact me directly by email. You’ll need to photograph the package and the print and send the details to hello@carelsteenkamp.com along with your order number and tracking info.

Delivery time: Orders ship out within 24 hours of your purchase, but can take up to 15 days to arrive, so please have patience. I'm using the trusted service of theprintspace located in London, UK. They're incredible, but only offer Flat Rate Worldwide shipping, which is limited in terms of order tracking numbers. Keep in mind that I'm all alone in trying to manage the print store right now, but I promise, you will get your print!

Estimated Average Shipping Times.

  • Europe: 3-5 Days
  • USA & Canada: 7-9 Days
  • Rest of the World: Up to 10 Days

As a final request, please consider emailing me only after 15 days from the day you purchased.

Exchanges & Returns:

Straight refunds are not accepted as these are limited edition prints, but I’m confident you’re going to love the print and cherish it forever. But if it isn’t what you expected, or it’s somehow damaged you can exchange it. Once the package is delivered, you’ll have 5-days to notify me via email at hello@carelsteenkamp.com if the print is either damaged or if you’d like to exchange it for another of equal value.

Shipping is free if the print is damaged, but if you want to exchange the print, you’ll need to cover the shipping costs, plus the difference in the cost of the prints. No discount will be given if the print you want to exchange is worth more than the one you wish to replace it with.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag cotton paper with exceptional image presentation and museum-quality longevity.

Custom-size images do not have the option of buying frames. Refer to the Image Description for more information.

Large = 25

Extra Large = 10

All prints are limited edition. Once the edition sells out there is never going to be another printed. Ever. Generally, I sell my prints in 7 different variances. For my custom-size prints, however, I only sell in Large and Extra Large, as custom framing will be necessary for these unique prints.

Secure payment: Card details are never stored and if using PayPal, I’ll never have access to any of your sensitive payment details. Everything is handled through Shopify and is fully encrypted.

Edition numbers: All prints are limited edition. Once the edition sells out there is never going to be another printed. Ever. At this time I can not accommodate special requests for specific edition numbers. Although it is a common practice when purchasing through galleries and exhibitions to ask for a specific edition number, the ordering system that I currently have in place does not allow for easy modifications after the order is placed online. For artwork that has a history of sales, you may receive a random. As such, if you order two prints of the same image, you might not get consecutive edition numbers. For example, you might get Edition 5 of 10 and 1 of 10 for the same image even though you order the prints at the same time and even if the print appears to be almost sold out online.

Any other questions: Feel free to contact me via email: hello@carelsteenkamp.com
